Get ready for some big-time Broadway entertainment, Salt Lake City!

The biggest hits on the Great White Way are headed to Salt Lake City as part of the just-announced Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles 2017-2018 season!

Broadway blockbusters Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera and An American in Paris will be part of the upcoming season. The lineup will also include The Bodyguard, Something Rotten! and The Sound of Music. In addition, subscribers can choose to add highly-anticipated engagements of three favorites: Elf The Musical, Riverdance and Jersey Boys.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS
October 10 - 15
An American in Paris is the new hit musical about an American soldier, a mysterious French girl, and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war. Acclaimed director/choreographer and 2015 Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon brings the magic and romance of Paris into perfect harmony with unforgettable songs from George and Ira Gershwin in the show that earned more awards than any other musical in the 2015 season.

Elf The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. When a soothsayer foretells the next big thing in theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, the Bottom brothers set out to write the world's very first musical! With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, Something Rotten! is an uproarious dose of pure Broadway fun and an irresistible ode to musicals. THE SOUND OF MUSIC

The hills are alive! This brand new production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's The Sound of Music is the spirited, romantic and beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family. The Sound of Music will thrill audiences with its Tony-, Grammy- and Oscar-winning Best Score, including "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Climb Ev’ry Mountain," "Edelweiss" and the title song. The Sound of Music enjoyed extraordinary success as the first live television production of a musical in over 50 years when The Sound of Music Live! aired on NBC in December 2013, and was seen by over 44 million people. 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the film version, which continues to be the most successful movie musical in history.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Critics are raving about Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal musical success, The Phantom of the Opera, saying this breathtaking production is bigger and better than ever before. This Phantom features a brilliant new scenic design by Paul Brown, Tony Award-winning original costume design by Maria Björnson, lighting design by Tony Award winner Paule Constable, new choreography by Scott Ambler, and a new staging by director Laurence Connor. The production, overseen by Mackintosh and Matthew Bourne boasts many exciting special effects including the show’s legendary chandelier. The beloved story and thrilling score—with songs like "Music of the Night," "All I Ask Of You" and "Masquerade"—is performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this Phantom one of the largest productions now on tour.
